TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
The present invention relates to a firearm which is arranged modifiable for the user in such a way that the barrel of the firearm is arranged replaceable by the user. The present invention particularly relates to a so-called firearm with a replaceable barrel which is arranged modifiable by the user in such a way that a firearm caliber or some other property within the same caliber, such as rate or type of twist, it is user-interchangeable disposition for drum replacement. The present invention also relates to a firearm, the barrel of which is a rifle barrel and which is arranged for a high pressure centrefire cartridge.
The present invention further relates to a firearm system that includes at least two user replaceable drums of different calibers with their applicable accessories. At the time of writing this patent application, such commercially interesting combinations are, for example, a firearm system arranged for three different calibers, the calibers of which are 308 Win, 300 Win Mage 338 Lapua Magnum. of fire is applicable both for its caliber for cost-effective shooting practice and versatile accuracy or target shooting and, as with larger cartridges, particularly for long-range precision shooting in both civilian and official use. Naturally, it is possible to fit into this firearm system by following the same concept almost with any caliber, such as 222 Rem, 223 Rem, 7.62*39, 30-06, 300 WSM up to the order of .50 BMG and most. The present invention is also applicable to firearms employing other types of cartridges, such as centerfire cartridges and low pressure rimfire cartridges. So a firearm system caliber may be, for example, such a caliber employing some other type of cartridge. OVERVIEW OF THE STATE OF THE TECHNIQUE OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
From the prior art it is known, inter alia, the North American patent number US 7,451,564 which describes an interchangeable barrel system for rifles.
From the prior art it is also known the US patent number US 7,076,904 which describes an arrangement related to a detachable armament barrel.
In the context of this patent application, the expression "forward" or "forward direction" refers to the direction of a firearm barrel, that is, the direction in which a design flies when a cartridge in the firearm is fired. . Correspondingly, the expression "backward" or "reverse direction" refers to the firearm stock direction which is, therefore, the opposite direction of "forward direction". A drum line refers to a line that is in the center of the drum, whereby, for example, the center of rotation of the bullet being fired moves along the drum line, the bullet still being in the drum. In the context of this patent application, a part (piece, fragment) sent by the firearm is referred to as the general expression of a projectile which can be, for example, a bullet, a shell or the equivalent.
Equivalently for clarity, in the context of this patent application, a caliber refers to a cartridge intended for the firearm and firearm properties possibly defined therein, whereby calibers are, for example, 222 Rem, 223 Rem, 7. 62*39, 308 Win, 30-06, 300 WSM, 300 Win Mag, 338 Lapua Magnume and so on. In this context, different calibers may also refer to a change disposed within a caliber of the same name or a differing property, such as a change in rate or type of rifle twist. An example of such a classification here as different calibers is 308 Win having a rifle twist rate of 8 inches per turn (swivel) and 308 Win having a rifle twist rate of 12 inches per turn (swivel). PRESENTATION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
An object of the present invention is to provide a precision rifle having a replaceable barrel, the barrel of which is free-floating, i.e. the firearm barrel only contacts the other firearm constructions about (around) of the cartridge chamber area. An object of the present invention is to provide a firearm, the caliber of which is exchangeable (changeable) by replacing the barrel and firearm which has capability of particularly high precision. An object of the present invention is to provide a firearm system that is arranged changeable by the user in such a way that the barrel of the firearm is arranged exchangeable by the user. A further object of the present invention is that, with the different calibers of the firearm system, the firearm's operating properties are equivalent to a firearm arranged for only one caliber.
The firearm in accordance with the present invention is characterized in that it comprises: a receiver, a screw including locking tabs, - a drum unit which is arranged detachable by the user and attachable to the receiver, a drum unit comprising a barrel and a locking piece, whereby the interior of the barrel is formed as a hollow channel comprising a cartridge chamber for a cartridge to be fired and a cavity for sending a projectile, whereby the barrel. The lock is formed to comprise an internal configuration that engages the mating configuration of the bolt locking tabs in such a way that the screw end with its locking tabs is transferable with a linear movement within the locking piece and lockable by means of a rotational movement in such a way that, upon rotation about the longitudinal axis of the screw, the locking tabs are locked with the respective 30 locking tabs within the locking piece such that the screw is in a locked position for firing the cartridge, whereby the locking piece is formed to comprise an external configuration comprising a narrowing rear cone. backwards corresponding to a cone in the receiver and whose outer configuration comprises a forward tapering taper corresponding to a cone in the centering bush, whereby the centering bush is arranged non-rotatable with respect to the locking piece and both non-rotatable and expanding radially with respect to the receiver, whereby the centering bush is rotatably connected to a clamping bush having an external thread that corresponds to an internal thread on the receiver, whereby the receiver, drum unit, centering sleeve and adapter sleeve remain in place, but in a from untight in relation to each other, by rotation of the clamping bush in the locked direction, the rear end of the lock piece is centerable via the rear cone and lockable to the cone on the receiver and the lock piece is centerable from its front end via the front cone and lockable via the centering bushing cone and a cylinder surface expanding radially concentrically on the cylinder surface in the receiver, whereby, in the tensioned state, the drum unit is in contact with the receiver only of the locking piece in the rear cone and the front cone.
The firearm system in accordance with the present invention is again characterized by the fact that the firearm system comprises a firearm as defined in the accompanying independent patent claim 1, in which a firearm caliber is arranged User-replaceable by replacing a drum unit (3) , a screw (21) or a screw locking part and optionally a cartridge magazine (tank) (80). The bolt may have been composed of a so-called one-piece, whereby the bolt is replaced, or it may have been composed of many parts, whereby only the locking part is arranged user-replaceable. Replacement of the screw is also optional as it is for certain cartridges having a similar head, whereby the same screw is suitable for different gauges.
A particular advantage of the construction in accordance with the present invention is that the barrel is provided free-floating, whereby the firearm has the prerequisites to be accurate. Particularly through the construction presented, the firearm is provided to operate repeatedly in the same manner as its zero, which has conventionally been a possible weakness of rifles with replaceable barrels. Traditionally, it is possible to make rifles with replaceable barrels to operate precisely, but this has usually required test firing. Now, with the firearm in accordance with the present arrangement, zero is provided at the same point with the important first shot through the barrel having been substituted in the mean time for smaller caliber, eg for test shots. The importance of the first shot is particularly high, for example, in the use of authorities whereby, in a situation involving firearms, the situation integrity is aided in resolution with a single carefully calculated and accurate shot. The same principle applies when using the firearm for hunting.
By rotation of the clamping bush in the locked direction, the rear end of the locking piece is centerable and lockable via the rear cone to the cone on the receiver and the locking piece is from its front end centerable via the front cone and lockable by intermediate the centering bushing cone and cylinder surfaces expanding radially concentrically to the cylinder surface in the receiver. Due to this property, the construction is relatively insensitive to the tightening torque of the bushing which in many arrangements known from the prior art appears to change the firearm's firing center quite considerably.
An advantage of the arrangement in accordance with the present invention is that parts affecting the firearm accuracy and further particularly the first shot accuracy and accuracy, particularly the barrel, the locking piece and the bolt, can be positioned extremely repeatedly concentric, whereby the position and direction of the drum line remain the same despite detachment and tying of the drum unit. Considerably, heat created in the cartridge chamber area when repeatedly firing cartridges is also controlled controllably outward from the drum unit via the front cone and rear cone, whereby dimensional changes caused by thermal expansion do not affect accuracy of the firearm by transfer from the firing center.
In accordance with a feature of the present invention, to the centering bushing a clamping bushing having an external thread which fits an internal thread on the receiver is rotatably connected. In this way, the construction is very compact and robust, through which external factors cannot affect the critical point for firearm accuracy, that is, the joint formed by the drum unit front cone, the centering bushing and by the inner cylinder surface of the receiver. Due to said internal thread, the adapter sleeve can be adjusted to partially rotate inside the receiver for protection. Therefore, impacts applied to, for example, the previous case (previous stock - forestock) and related accessories for it, such as light amplifiers, lighting devices and the like, when in use, do not affect the drum clamping parts , but centering, that is, concentricity always remains similar. The compact size provided by the property is also important for the accessories to fit well and to keep the overall mass of the firearm appropriate, usually as light as possible. By means of the feature of the present invention, the exterior of the receiver front end can also be formed into a practical clamping base for said fixtures, the receiver front end can be manufactured, for example, as a very dimensionally accurate outer cylinder surface. , whereby the above case can additionally be clamped over the top of this outer cylinder configuration.
In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the receiver includes a locking piece guide which matches the equivalent configuration on the locking piece, whereby the drum unit is installable only in one position relative to the receiver. Consequently, the drum unit adjusts by means of the guide always in the same position, particularly with respect to the geometric axis of rotation around the drum line. Then, the rear cone and front cone can also adjust to the same point and position in relation to the receiver.
A further advantage of construction in accordance with the present invention is that the receiver can be manufactured from material for which machining ability can be stressed compared with strength properties as selection criteria. Through the construction shown, forces applied to the construction by pressure caused by firing the firearm are primarily centralized to the unit formed by the locking piece, the screw and the drum. The receiver is a relatively large part having multidimensional configurations compared to other parts of the firearm, as a result of which, manufacturing the high strength steel receiver would have to be arduous. It is now possible to manufacture the receiver from more easily machinable material, and no post-machining hardening is required or there is no need to provide such high strengths or hardenings through possible tempering as in a construction in which firing pressure affects the receiver directly.
In accordance with an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the drum and the locking piece are formed from different parts and connected together, for example, by means of a thread or a pressure fixing. In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention, the drum and the locking piece are formed in one piece, i.e. by means of which the drum unit is composed of a single piece. Figure 1 shows a general view of a firearm (1). Figure 1 represents the main characteristics of the firearm (1) observable from the outside. A receiver (20) here operates as the firearm body around which the firearm (1) can be considered to be built. Inside the receiver, there is a screw (21) to operate on which a screw cable (22) is disposed. By means of the screw handle (22), the screw (21) is transferable with a linear movement forward (F) to its forward position and lockable by means of a rotational movement in such a way that, by rotation around the geometric axis longitudinally of the screw (21), the screw (21) is locked in its locked position for firing a cartridge. During linear movement, the screw (21) can drive a cartridge from a cartridge magazine (80). The firearm also represents a previous case (forestock)(40) for the front manipulation of the user and for tying possible accessories. A sight rail for attaching a sight (not shown in Figures) is also mounted on the receiver. The firearm includes a rear (rearstock) case(50) which is arranged to support the recoil (rebound) of the firearm (B) against the user's shoulder. The firearm (1) is cockable via a trigger unit (60).
Figure 2 shows an exploded view (elevated) of the construction of the firearm (1) in greater detail. Figure 2 depicts the screw (21) including screw locking tabs (210) (shown here is an embodiment of the present invention having three locking tabs) and screw handle (22). The screw (21) is transferable disposed within the receiver (20) by means of a forward directed movement (F). A drum unit (3) is arranged detachable by the user and attachable to the receiver (20), drum unit (3) comprising a drum (30) and a locking piece (35). Figure 2 also shows in connection with the drum (30) a centering bush (36) and a clamping bush (37) which are both freely slidable from the front end of the drum (30) along the drum ( 30) to a position shown in Figure 2. When the drum unit (3) is tightened into position by means of the centering bush (36) and clamping bush (37), the front housing (40) is adjustable in the in place, whereby a cylinder surface (404) within the front case (40) secures an outer cylinder surface (204) of the receiver (20). The front case can be fastened in place by means of fasteners (401).
Figure 3 shows in detail a drum unit (3) in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention from two different directions (approximately isometric projection and directly from the rear). The drum unit (3) therefore comprises the drum (30) and the locking piece (35). The locking piece (35) is formed to comprise an internal configuration that engages the mating configuration of the locking tabs (210) of the screw (21) such that the screw end (21) with its locking tabs (210) it is transferable with a linear movement inside the locking part (35) and lockable by means of a rotational movement in such a way that, upon rotation about the longitudinal axis of the screw (21), the locking tabs (210) are locked. with respective locking tabs (350) inside the locking piece (35) in such a way that the screw (21) is in a locked position for firing the cartridge (80). The screw (21) is not shown in Figure 3.
Figure 3 shows an embodiment of the present invention of how the locking piece (35) can be formed to also comprise an external configuration comprising a rearward tapering rear cone (355) that corresponds to a cone (205) in the receiver ( 20) and whose outer configuration comprises a forward taper taper (356) which corresponds to a cone (366) in the centering bush (36). For the rear cone (355) of the locking piece (35) one or more, such as three, support surfaces may have been formed. The three support surfaces (shown in Figure 3 as gridded) are advantageous just as those of the cone surface are, therefore, particularly insensitive to impurities and, via the three support surfaces, the rear cone (355) of the piece. lock (35) fits very stably over the cone surface of the receiver (20). In an equivalent manner, for the front cone (356) of the locking piece (35) one or more, such as three, support surfaces may have been formed.
The locking piece (35) includes a guide (358) which couples a respective locking piece guide (208) to the receiver (20), whereby the drum unit (3) can be installable only in a position in relation to the receiver (20).
In accordance with an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the drum (30) and the locking piece (35) are formed of different parts and connected together, for example, by means of a thread or a pressure fixing. In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention, the drum (30) and the locking piece (35) are formed in one piece, i.e. by means of which the drum unit (3) is formed in a single piece. .
Figures 4a and 4b show a centering bush and a clamping bush in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. The centering bush (36) is arranged non-rotatable with respect to the locking piece (35) and both non-rotatable and expanding radially with respect to the receiver (20). Non-rotatability can be implemented, for example, by means of a slot (369) and a matching centering bush guide (209), whereby the centering bush (36) cannot rotate with respect to the locking piece (35) when the cone surface (366) of the centering bush (36) slides along the front cone equivalent (356) of the locking piece (35). Simultaneously, a centering bush cylinder surface (367) expands in the radial direction and is locked onto a receiver cylinder surface (207). To the centering bush (36) the clamping bush (37) is rotatably connected having an external thread (372) which corresponds to an internal thread (202) on the receiver (20). Figure 4a shows an embodiment of the present invention where the centering bushing circle (36) is cut at a point, whereby the cutting point is formable into a groove (369) the length of the centering bushing (36) and cavity (369) that matches the guide (209) to the receiver (20). Figure 4a also shows an embodiment of the present invention of the chuck (37) which includes the external thread (372) and a tool stop (374).
Figure 4b shows a cross section of a centering bush (36) and a clamping bush (37) in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention rotatably connected together. In Figure 4b, a geometric axis of rotation is designated with dashed lines. This geometric axis of rotation also corresponds to the drum line.
Figure 4c shows an embodiment of the present invention of how the centering bush (36) is readily installable on the clamp bush (37). Through the groove (369), the centering bush (36) is squeezable (compressible) something smaller, through which the grooves/notches observed in Figure 4b are able to pass in relation to each other and the centering bush (36) is rotatably locked in the chuck (37). In Figure 4c, pressing points are shown with arrows.
Figure 5 shows a cross section of a firearm (1) which is arranged modifiable by the user in such a way that a firearm barrel (30) is arranged replaceable by the user, whereby the firearm comprises: - a receiver (20), - a screw (21) including locking tabs (210), - a drum unit (3) which is arranged detachable by the user and attachable to the receiver (20), drum unit (3) comprising the barrel (30) and a locking piece (35) whereby the interior of the barrel (30) is formed as a hollow channel comprising a cartridge chamber (301) for a cartridge to be fired and a cavity (300) for sending a projectile, whereby the locking piece (35) is formed to comprise an internal configuration that engages the mating configuration of the locking tabs (210) of the bolt (21) in such a way that the end screw (21) with its locking tabs (210) is transferable with a movement linearly within the locking part (35) and lockable by means of a rotational movement in such a way that, upon rotation about the longitudinal axis of the screw (21), the locking tabs (210) are locked with respective locking tabs. locking (350) inside the locking piece (35) such that the screw (21) is in a locked position for firing the cartridge, whereby the locking piece (35) is formed to comprise an external configuration that comprises a rearward tapering rear cone (355) corresponding to a cone (205) in the receiver (20) and whose outer configuration comprises a forward tapering front cone (356) corresponding to a cone (366) in the sleeve. centralization (36), whereby the centering bush (36) is arranged non-rotatable in relation to the locking piece (35) and both non-rotatable and expanding in the radial direction in relation to the receiver (20), by intermediary that the centering bush (36) is rotatably connected to a clamping bush (37) having an external thread (372) which corresponds to an internal thread (202) on the receiver (20), whereby the receiver ( 20), the drum unit (3), the centering bush (36) and the clamp bush (37) remain in place, but in an untightened state with respect to each other, by rotation of the clamp bush ( 37) in the locked direction, the rear end of the locking piece (35) is centerable via the rear cone (355) and lockable to the cone (205) on the receiver (20) and the locking piece (35) is pivotable from its front end via the front cone (356) and lockable via the cone (366) of the centering bush (36) and a radially expanding cylinder surface (367) concentrically on a cylinder surface (207) in the receiver (20), whereby, in the tensioned state, the drum unit (3) is in co- nttact with the receiver (20) only from the locking piece (35) on the rear cone (355) and on the front cone (356).
Figure 5 also shows how a front case (40) can be tightened by fasteners (401), such as screws (threads), to the receiver (20) in such a way that the front case cylinder surface (404) press around the outer cylinder surface (204) of the receiver (20). Similarly, it is shown in Figure 5 how a head space (H) is arranged to be formed based on the mutual position of the locking piece (35), the screw (21) and the barrel (30), whereby the The firearm's headspace (H) (1) remains adjusted regardless of caliber changes performed by the user.
Figures 6a and 6b show an embodiment of the firearm system of the present invention in which, for connection with the bolt handle (22) a tool (224) is mounted which fixes a tool stop (374) on the circle of the chuck (37), whereby the chuck (37) is disposed user-operable or tightenable using the screw (21) as a tool.
Figures 7a and 7b show a firearm belonging to a firearm system, firearm system comprising at least two calibers, in which the maximum overall cartridge length between said two 25 calibers differs moderately one to from the other, advantageously by 20 mm, whereby the length of action of the screw is arranged modifiable by the user around (turn) of a screw release lever (217) . The length of the screw movement is optionally as close as possible to such a length that an empty capsule leaves the cartridge chamber and an unfired cartridge is fetched (brought in) from the cartridge magazine and pushed into the cartridge chamber. Then, the screw end must go so far back that it passes the cartridge head into the cartridge magazine. When comparing, for example, cartridges in the calibers of 308 Wine 338 Lapua Magnum, it is possible to observe that, verified from the table, the overall length of the standard (standard) longest cartridge of 308 Winé is about 71.12 mm (2.8") and the widest overall standard (standard) cartridge length of 338 Lapua Magnumé of about 93.50 mm (3,681") . Thus, the set bolt action length for 308 Win can be referred to as short acting and correspondingly the set bolt action length for 338 Lapua Magnum can be referred to as long acting. A long screw path is not useful when using a short cartridge, most often on the contrary, as it can cause problems for the user if the user's loading movement is not routinely correct.
In an embodiment of the firearm system in accordance with the present invention, this possible error situation is eliminated by means of the rotary (rotating) screw release lever, whereby the screw action length is arranged modifiable by the user per turn (turn) of the screw release lever (217). It is seen in Figure 7 that the bolt release lever is arranged on two geometric axes such that two alternative positions are arranged for the release lever, a short acting position and a long acting position. In Figure 7a, these said two geometric axes (21, 71) are designated by dashed lines. The backward movement of the screw interrupts to the stop on the screw release lever (217), whereby the user observes (sees) that the screw movement has now been performed and the loading movement by pushing forward can be initiated. Figure 7b shows how these different gauges can be loaded with different magazines (80). Advantageously, a limiter is used which contacts the cartridge head, i.e. the rear end.
Figure 8 shows a firearm system in accordance with yet another embodiment of the present invention, in which the firearm system comprises at least two gauges, whereby the drum unit (3), the screw ( 21), and the cartridge magazine (80) corresponding to the same caliber of the firearm (1) and related to each other are marked with an identity code (100) detectable by sense of touch and sense of sight. The identity code (100) advantageously comprises grooves or embossed dots, whereby replacement of the drum is also operable solely through the sense of touch.
As is evident to those skilled in the art, the present invention and its embodiments are not limited to the embodiment examples described above. Expressions representing the existence of characteristics, such as, for example, "the firearm comprises a receiver", are unlimited in such a way that the description of characteristics does not exclude, or is a prerequisite for, the existence of such other characteristics that they are not presented in the independent patent claims or the accompanying dependent patent claims.Reference numbers used in the Figures: 1 firearm20 receiver202 internal thread of receiver204 external cylinder surface of receiver205 cone of receiver207 cylinder surface of receiver208 part guide lock209 centering bush guide21 screw210 locking tabs22 screw handle3 drum unit30 drum300 drum gauge301 cartridge chamber 35 locking piece350 locking piece locking tabs355 rear cone356 front cone358 guide36 centering bushing366 centering bushing cone367 cylinder surface center bushing action369 centering bushing notch37 chuck 372 chuck external thread374 chuck tool stop40 front case (forestock)401 front case clamp404 front case cylinder surface50 back case (rearstock)60 trigger unit80 cartridge magazine100 identity codeH headspaceF front directionB rear direction
